What is Glasscrete?

Glasscrete is a mixture of recycled glass of many colors, bound in a non toxic cementious matrix. It's creation is a detailed process of casting, curing, shaping and hand polishing to a glistening stonelike surface.

This process allows us to create any shape, any color, any thickness. There is no limit to the design possibilities. Glasscrete has a broad range of appearances, from a subdued natural stone look, to a festive mixture of brilliant reflective colored glass. Some options are colored bands of inlaid glass, veins of different colors, inlaid stones or special treasures. This beautiful, functional art can be the highlight of any room.

Glasscrete is 80-85% recycled glass from local post consumer and post industrial sources. Some is ground so fine it reacts as a cement binder replacement allowing us to minimize the use of these precious resources. This cement binder is a mixture of the above mentioned fines, or pozzolans as they are called, and a calcium sulfoaluminate cement. The finished product is more akin to a polished dense stone than common concrete. Highly stain resistant and heat tolerant, perfect for almost any surface indoors or out.
